Tony has over 20 years senior management experience specializing in operational improvement and project management in numerous industries including: industrial manufacturing, packaging, marine, medical, automotive, food & beverage, and aerospace. He has extensive International experience in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.
He has developed deep delivery experience in the packaging sector with experience that includes:
- Improving quality and reducing the cost per ton at a manufacturer of food packaging (large rolls of coated paper for juice and milk cartons)
- Improving productivity and implementing a process to manage for daily improvement (MDI) at a manufacturer of aseptic food packaging
- Implementing lean manufacturing, conducting analysis and Six Sigma improvement projects, improving productivity, implementing strategy deployment and conducting lean certification training at a liquid paper mill in New Zealand
Prior to joining TBM, Tony spent five years running his own improvement consultancy working on a variety of projects for Land Rover, General Motors, and Remploy. He also designed the layout for a new medical facility.
He previously worked for Teleflex Fluid Systems as group Operations Director where he oversaw operational excellence at four international facilities. He set operational targets for the division and oversaw an improvement project for Mazda. Prior to that he worked at Teleflex Corporate as a Quality and Production Consultant here he trained employees in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
Tony started his working career as a project engineer at Chromalloy.
He has an MBA from the Open University and a BEng (with honors) in Computer Aided Engineering (the first of its kind in the UK) from Staffordshire Polytechnic. He is a Six sigma Black Belt with over 18 years of experience in lean training across all levels.
