Curries, another TBM client, improved its shipping schedule by developing shipping zones and delivery dates for each zone. It varied the start dates of orders with multiple line items so they arrived in shipping at the same time. As a result, the number of orders shipped from manufacturing within one day jumped from 27 percent to 46 percent. Late pool shipments dropped from 33 percent to 10 percent. The floor space needed for shipping shrank by 33 percent.
